Is lying about the reason for a war an impeachable offense?

The momentum for impeachment is building. Just two days ago, the NY Greens released a press release calling for the impeachment of President George W Bush for manipulating the information leading up to the Iraq war, and for among other things, crimes against humanity.

The next day, the interview with John Dean is front page news on CNN.com. The I-word is no longer just being quietly uttered by third parties and liberals. Like a fast-moving river starts with just a few drips of water, the truth is coming out faster than anyone can plug the holes.
One can’t help but wonder if this was Saddam’s plan all along. He is a very smart man, and it is tough not to wonder whether the reason that the WMD’s (which Saddam undoubtedly had at least ten years ago) were not only not used against the US soldiers, but likely destroyed was in order to create drastic changes in the political landscape in the US. A well thought out, calculated decision could very well have been made to set up Bush for this.
Of course it seems like a big conspiracy theory, but more unlikely things have been proven true before. A well thought out mousetrap could have been set up by Saddam, for the non-use of the WMDs and/or their destruction seems not to make much other sense. If Saddam did possess WMDs, wouldn’t they have been his best defense against an otherwise all but assured attack by the US?
In any case, regardless of whether or not he was set up, the evidence pouring out from the analysts in the US intelligence community appears to be setting up Bush for an impeachment by an overwhelming margin. Regardless of whether or not this was a set up, it is undeniably clear at this point that evidence was hyped for this war.
Impeachment would mean a lot more than just Bush. It would be an impeachment to conservative ideology, a switch that can put not just the US, but the world on a very different course towards peace, towards that other world we all know is possible, the world that we so desparately want and need.
I actually think that your goverment does great. United States has achieved such level of the influence so that they are able to protect their national interests in every given point of the world. That’s worth of respect.
Perhaps the economics is failing, but isn’t war a good way to stimulate it? Also possessing the control over Iraqis oil would be good for US economy as well.
You guys chased your previous president, Bill Clinton for him being simply a human and wanting to have sex sometimes, while ignoring his obvious successes in a president role. Now you are chasing Bush for him simply doing his job. Do you really think you know better than him? I don’t think so. Let the competent people run the world at their own judgement.
I am not an American, but I wish your country and your people luck in restoring your economics. My respects.
